Arts crowdfunding platform Fund it shuts due to competition

The agency said it could no longer support the operating costs required to stay running

Fund it, an Irish crowdfunding website that has helped provide financing to more than 1,700 creative projects in the last ten years, is closing down.

The body, which formed part of the Business to Arts non-profit, said it was shutting down its operations because the crowdfunding landscape had “changed significantly”, with commercial companies increasingly offering funding to creative enterprises.
