It wasn’t the news we were expecting from the FAI this week, but it didn’t exactly come as a shock.

Due to come to a close this week, the drawn-out pursuit of a senior men’s team manager will now be followed – fingers crossed, but who knows – by a “structured search” for a permanent chief executive, after the announcement this morning of Jonathan Hill’s departure.
