Edenderry businessman claims the bank was aware of Ger Killally’s precarious situation

AIB allegedly failed to save a businessman from the “deceitful conduct” of former Fianna Fáil councillor Ger Killally, who was “staring bankruptcy down the barrel of a gun”, the Court of Appeal has heard.

Joseph Delaney from Edenderry, Co Offaly agreed to lend Killally, who was his accountant, €346,000 in August 2008, to tide him through “temporary cash flow problems”.
