AIB creates new climate capital division to oversee €30bn green fund

Paul Travers has been announced as the leader of AIB’s new climate capital division, as the bank moves to further entrench its position as a green lender.

The appointment will see Travers move from his existing role of head of energy, climate action and infrastructure with AIB and take on the lender’s executive committee. He previously lead the Irish arm of Macquarie Capital, the infrastructure and renewables investor, headquartered in Australia.
