Ireland Women’s World Cup hopeful Sarah Rowe has said that more sporting authorities should consider deploying AI technology to protect athletes from online abuse.

Rowe, who currently plays football for Bohemians, has played Gaelic football with Mayo and Australian Rules with Melbourne club Collingwood, and has experienced various levels of social media abuse.
