Former managing partner will retire at midnight, but says he won’t be hanging up the boots ‘just yet’

Feargal O'Rourke, parter at PwC: “If you have shown me all this back on October 8 1986, I’d have grabbed it and asked where do I sign away my soul - thankfully I didn’t have to do that!”

Feargal O'Rourke, the former managing partner at PwC, will retire from the accounting and consultancy giant at midnight tonight after a 37 year career with the firm.

The son of former politician Mary O'Rourke, he joined the organisation, what was then called Craig Gardner / Price Waterhouse, straight out of UCD.
