1,200 homes bought via state’s First Home Scheme

More than 3,000 people have been granted approval for the First Home Scheme, which helps prospective homeowners purchase their first property, since its launch 18 months ago.

New figures show that almost 1,300 homes have been bought with the help of the shared-equity scheme, as the Department of Housing announced plans to raise the applicable price ceilings by €25,000 in a selection of local authorities.
