The Premier League transfer window is on track to be the most expensive in history and the first to break the £2 billion barrier.

English clubs have spent just over £1.6 billion, according to an analysis of website TransferMarkt, and with Moisés Caicedo on the verge of breaking the British transfer record with a £111 million move, the £2 billion mark is edging closer with a month left to go in the window.
