The owners of the capital’s only alcohol-free bar, the Virgin Mary on Capel Street, last week announced that they were shutting up shop. Co-founder Vaughan Yates said that business wasn’t so bad, but it hadn’t recovered to pre-pandemic levels, so he was going to take his concept of drinking but not getting drunk on the road.
