Northern Irish tech firms buck the trend with strong performances
A number of companies are proving that steady expansion can be better than being a ‘unicorn’ in the current climate
The so-called “tech-wreck” of the last year has wiped billions off the values of the biggest companies in the world and led to tens of thousands of well-paid jobs being cut, skewing the legacy of a sector that had enjoyed a near-decade of easy cash and unrelenting growth.
Just last week Facebook-parent Meta announced another round of cuts, including almost 500 jobs in Ireland, refocusing the spotlight on the woes in the sector.
