Kilkenny outsmarted Clare at this stage in the championship last year, but this time round the Banner men will be looking to get their tactics right

Clare can’t afford to make the tactical errors of 2022 when they face Kilkenny today, according to Cyril Lyons, the former player and manager.

Lyons, who won the All Ireland as a player in 1995 and led the county to the final in 2002, told the Business Post that Clare’s long ball game in last year’s clash with Kilkenny at the same stage was the making of their catastrophic 12-point defeat a year ago.
