It has been a busy year in media. Impeachment, the British general election, Love Island, Megan Rapinoe, the goings-on at Independent News & Media, and of course Donald Trump all caught our attention, and often polarised opinion.

Change was everywhere, again. Somewhat arbitrarily, I’ve singled out three people who impressed me, for different reasons, during the year.
