Ski Watch was in La Thuile in Italy for the resort’s first ever International Ski Federation World Cup race event last weekend, getting up close and personal with Lindsey Vonn, Lara Gut, Nadia Fanchini and the other stars of women’s ski racing.

Watching La Thuile – a rustic former mining village – transform from a low-key resort where lift queues are a rarity to a lively World Cup venue was entertaining.
