In the four months since launching Beekon – a new honey- based alcohol inspired by an ancient mead - Karen O’Neill has picked up 100 stockists in the Irish market including The Marker Hotel in Dublin, Impala in Cork and Fratellis in Belfast.

Made from honey, water and yeast, Beekon comes in two flavours: original and ginger & lime.

O’Neill describes the drink as a new category of alcohol called a ‘honey refresher’.
