Michael Lynn to be extradited back to Ireland over mortgage fraud
Fugitive solicitor accused of owing €80 million to financial institutions
Brazil’s supreme court has cleared the way for former solicitor Michael Lynn to be extradited back to Ireland to face allegations of mortgage fraud.
It is understood Brazil's federal police will oversee Lynn’s transfer from Recife to Dublin, which could happen within weeks.
It comes more than eight years after Lynn – who it is claimed owes more than €80m to at least ten financial institutions – left Ireland.
