The often maligned coupé-SUV has had difficulty finding wide acceptance, but the second generation might just change that, writes Matt Robinson
BMW will not be ousted from its self-generated niche of the coupé-SUV. With the launch of this new, second-generation X4 (itself based on the platform of the third-generation X3 mid-sized SUV), it brings the German company’s tally for coupé-SUVs to four: the original X6 (2008), the first X4 (2014) and then the second-generation X6 (2015).
