The Jehovah’s Witnesses have come under scrutiny for their handling of child sex abuse allegations within the church both in Ireland and abroad. As more and more evidence emerges that the church has actively withheld information from the authorities - including the Gardaí - and has implemented layers of rules designed to silence and punish victims and whistleblowers alike, former members are speaking out, writes Barry J Whyte
