Ina Boyle: Songs from the Great Sugarloaf
The songs of Ina Boyle, probably Ireland’s most outstanding female composer of the early 20th century, are showcased by soprano Colette Delahunt and pianist Catriona McElhinney Grimes in a National Concert Hall lunchtime concert on Friday next (June 28).
The reputation of the long-neglected artist, whose full name was Selina Adelaide Philippa Boyle, has been deservedly restored in recent years, particularly during the NCH’s Composing The Island anniversary festival in 2016.
