Government targets for electric cars are pure fantasy
Are Irish consumers really going to buy 80,000 new EVs per year for the next decade?
I’m all for ambition and optimistic targets, and I welcome with open arms our government’s message that we must act now if we are to have any chance of keeping climate change in check. However, I do wish, as I’ve stated here many times, that the Irish government would seek out some advice from the motor industry before it announces grandiose targets that have seemingly been plucked from a random number generator.
