A recently-published book by GM Matthew Sadler and Natasha Regan, entitled Game Changer (New in Chess, 2019) gives in-depth insights into AlphaZero, Deep Mind’s general purpose artificial intelligence system. A discussion of AlphaZero’s broader significance could fill many pages, so for now I’ll limit myself to saying that we’ve never seen chess like this.
