Castletown House in Co Kildare will play host to a season of orchestral events this summer

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Castletown being opened for tours, while 2019 brings in the 25th year of the OPW taking responsibility for works and maintenance of the great Georgian estate. It was here that the Georgian revolt opened our eyes to an architectural heritage that some self-appointed patriots had marked for destruction.
