Tastemaker: Musician Berginald Rash on the joy of The Golden Girls, and why ambition matters

The US-born, Dublin-based clarinettist enjoys his own company, but is also comfortable on a stage

The clarinettist Berginald Rash was born in Florida and spent a considerable part of his childhood moving all over the US, from Florida to California, Georgia, Oklahoma and more. After his master’s he moved to Baltimore, where he co-founded a non-profit chamber music ensemble. A stint as a secondary school Spanish teacher saw him move to Madrid, where he completed another master’s degree and eventually relocated to Dublin.
