Richie Egan never wanted to be known as a singer-songwriter, which is why he performs under the stage name Jape. The Dubliner has been in bands since he was a teenager, including Black Belt Jones and Sir Killalot, and joined five-piece The Redneck Manifesto in 1998, with the band releasing five albums.
