When Louise Duffy was a little girl she would make radio shows on a small Fisher Price tape recorder, so it was no surprise to her loved ones when a career behind a microphone beckoned. “I would play them the shows in the car. Sorry family,” she says.

Duffy, 38, from Mayo, lives in Dublin with her husband Paul Galvin, the fashion designer and former GAA footballer, along with their two girls Esmé and Elin.
