Eithne Shortall: We shouldn’t be triggered by sensible trigger warnings

They’ve been described as ludicrous by some, but trigger warnings can be appropriate in certain circumstances

I recently saw The Pull of the Stars at the Gate theatre in Dublin. The play, an adaptation of an Emma Donoghue novel, is set in a Dublin maternity hospital during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. After the show, I had two separate conversations with fellow spectators.
