Nina Stibbe’s latest and fourth novel may not feature her much loved character Lizzie Vogel, but the story is nevertheless as funny and moving as her previous outings
A few days ago, my father informed me that he was worried about something. He had discovered that Nina Stibbe’s new novel – her fourth, following the wonderful non-fiction debut Love, Nina – was not about Lizzie Vogel. Lizzie is the heroine of all Stibbe’s previous novels, inspired by the author’s own life, and my dad felt perturbed that she was being left behind for pastures new.
