Teddy Thompson needs little introduction to those that value quality songwriters – even his lineage is nigh on peerless (his parents are Richard and Linda Thompson, two acclaimed diehards of the UK 1960s/’70s folk music scene).
And yet with so much good, authentic country music around now, you might wonder why Thompson would decide to release an album of cover versions (his second, after 2007’s Up Front and Down Low).
