British Prime Minister David Cameron’s plan for a high-speed rail link connecting London to northern England has won support from the House of Commons.

The high-speed line, known as HS2, will bring economic benefits and should be planned as part of a broader economic and transport strategy, the House of Commons Transport Committee said in a report published in London.
