Titanic memorabilia auction

The latest item to be consigned to an upcoming sale of Titanic memorabilia at the British auction house Henry Aldridge is twelve minutes of film that shows the ship sailing to its doom.

Believed to be the longest unedited footage of the tragedy, the newsreel was first shown to cinema goers in the Odeon, Greenock within days of the event in April 1912.
