The landline dilemma

What comes between you and a dirt-cheap internet phone call? Landlines. Most broadband in Ireland goes over ordinary telephone lines. But according to industry figures, Irish people under 35 are ditching landlines and relying on their mobiles as phones.

So what's the point of cheap internet calls if you have to pay up to €20 a month to ‘rent' a landline over which you get broadband?
