Superquinn founder Feargal Quinn is to give over 4,000 employees of the retail chain a parting gift of close to €5 million when the acquisition of the supermarket chain is completed later this year.
The goodwill payment promised by Quinn has been agreed between his advisers and the trade union Mandate, which represents the bulk of the workforce at Superquinn.
