Spike in hotel sales activity

The ending of the Capital Gains Tax waiver at year end is one factor affecting the hotel sector.

Hotel sales activity looks set to continue apace, with two more being offered to the market last week following sales of 15 hotels for a combined €98.32 million in the first quarter of this year. That compares to 33 hotel sales totalling €159 million in the entire 12 months of last year.
