Savage and Prone to get tax relief on home

The Martello tower home of RTE chairman Tom Savage and communications consultant Terry Prone has qualified as a "significant" building eligible for tax relief.

Their home in Portrane, Co Dublin, is on the latest Revenue Commissioners' list of homes that qualify for Section 482 tax relief. The pair bought the tower in 2006 for a reported €1.5 million, and have since carried out extensive renovations.
