Cable company NTL has lost more than €270,000 following the collapse of Talkshop, an internet and call shop chain that employed 40 people, writes Ian Kehoe.

Cable company NTL has lost more than €270,000 following the collapse of Talkshop, an internet and call shop chain that employed 40 people, writes Ian Kehoe.

Talkshop, which operated seven shops throughout the country, went into liquidation last Wednesday and Simon Coyle of Dublin accountancy firm Mazars was appointed liquidator.

Talkshop had debts of more than €730,000, of which €163,000 was owed to the Revenue Commissioners. It had realisable assets of €309,000.
