Fyffes times better for the McCanns
It's been a turbulent few years for the McCanns. Back in 2005, Carl McCann described that year's financial performance by Fyffes, the fruit distribution company at the heart of the family's empire, as "excellent".
It would be many years before a similar claim could be made, with share price turmoil, profit plunges, company spin-outs, insider trading trials, and a global financial crisis that made for the most challenging trading conditions in a generation.
