Two of the country's largest estate agents, Sherry FitzGerald and Douglas Newman Good (DNG), have published new house price statistics.

According to the latest edition of the DNG House Price Gauge, second-hand house prices in Dublin were up by 5 per cent in the first quarter of this year, with the average price of a second-hand house now €400,000.
