Leaflet cutbacks in EU elections to save Euro 3.5 million

Environment Minister Phil Hogan is restricting candidates in the forthcoming European elections to just one free leaflet per household to save €3.5 million.

In the last European elections, candidates were allowed to send a freepost leaflet to each individual member of a household at taxpayers' expense.
