Jack B Yeats leads the field at DeVere's

Leading the field at de Vere's on April 12 is a gem of a painting by Jack B Yeats, Sailor Home from Sea, 1924, 23 by 35.5 centimetres. Note the juxtaposition of the ever-present stuffed bird with the seldom-present mysterious stranger.

In the possession of the same family since purchased from Victor Waddington in 1944, it has an estimate of €80,000 to €120,000.
