Garvey Group snaps up Dingle site for €4m

The Garvey Group, which owns one of the largest chains of SuperValu stores in the country, has bought a prime site in Dingle, Co Kerry, for €4 million.

It is believed that retail giant Tesco may have been eyeing up the site as a location for a new supermarket to compete with Garvey's existing SuperValu outlet in the town. A spokesman for Tesco was not available for comment.
