Fire services fall short in the budget

Next year’s budget allocation of €8 million to the Irish fire services is “insufficient”, say the Irish Fire and Emergency Services Association (IFESA).

Speaking to the Sunday Business Post, IFESA chairman, John Kidd, said that while he welcomed the €8 million allocation in funding the fire services are going through an “equipment crisis” and that a bigger budget is needed.
