After a decade-long run of accomplished films, David Cronenberg suffers an excruciating blow-out with his stilted, stuttering adaptation of Don DeLillo's short novel **Cosmopolis**.

Cronenberg's take on the story of a 20-something billionaire taking a limousine ride across Manhattan is inert, self-conscious and simply not worth the destination.
