Gavin Watchorn and Stuart Brechin, two friends who started out behind the counters of Oddbins and the O’Brien’s Wines chain across Dublin, have developed their love of wine and their jobs into the beginnings of an Irish taste empire.

That the story of BrechinWatchorn involves both these companies is a unique Irish twist on a familiar British tale. Oddbins is considered to be something of a university for the British wine trade, whereas in Ireland the large O’Brien’s group assumes that mantle.
