Clinic counts on beauty boom

The Irish cosmetics and toiletries industry is worth more than €500 million a year, and is growing steadily.

Seeking to capitalise on this booming sector, Joanne Nolan and Julie Sweeny opened the Beauty Clinic in south Dublin in November.

The pair, who hope to record sales of €140,000 this year, are offering non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as botox injections to customers.
