Blow to Anglo as another executive leaves

David Drumm, chief executive of Anglo Irish Bank, will have to cast the net wider to find a new head of group treasury after the departure of another senior executive last week.

Paul Sommers, head of credit products and director of the international trade division at Anglo Irish, told the bank last week that he was leaving to take up a new position at International Securities Trading Corp (ISTC), the specialist banking firm which was set up last year by former Anglo Irish chief operations officer Tiarnan O’Mahony.
