Banking inquiry will examine salaries and bonuses

The banking inquiry is set to examine whether the salaries and bonuses paid to bankers during the boom influenced their lending decisions.

The issue of looking at remuneration “including any change to lending policy” has been listed in the recommended terms of reference for the inquiry by a group of experts.
