2,000 complaints over installation of water meters

Around 2,000 homeowners have complained about the installation of water meters since the nationwide rollout began last year.

Around 2,000 homeowners have complained about the installation of water meters since the nationwide rollout began last year.

So far, 100,000 water meters have been installed as part of the €539 million metering programme.

Although Irish Water has not supplied details of the complaints, one of the main concerns among householders is that the driveways outside their home be repaired to a high standard after the installation of water meters.
