Pool-side prepared: first look at Mr Porter’s summer edit of considered menswear essentials

A curated holiday edit is a very clever thing: it assembles, for busy people, the carry-on worthy items that will serve them well on their next holiday where they don’t ordinarily have the time to do the searching themselves.
Mr Porter knows this well, and its latest ‘Summer Stories’ holiday edit aims to equip you head to toe with the warm weather wardrobe you didn’t know you needed so badly. Encompassing ready-to-wear, swimwear, shoes, accessories, luxury watches and jewellery, the curated edit will evolve over the summer months with five sub-edits dropping during the summer season, featuring 125 brands – eight of which are new to Mr Porter – alongside 49 exclusive ranges
Its first of five, ‘For Sun, Sea, and Sky’, launched this week and provides considered essentials with a laid-back, pool-side feel. You can expect exclusive eyewear from Tom Ford and the British brand Kimeze, high-summer offerings from Loewe, Vilebrequin, and Frescobol Carioca, and an exclusive summer collection from Cherry LA.
Meanwhile, summer footwear will come courtesy of Castañer, VINNY’s and Mulo, and a range of exclusive shirts, trousers, and jackets from artisan brand Karu Research is in collaboration with Small Talk; each piece is produced using heritage Indian techniques with hand illustrated details. For good measure, lilo’s will be available from its newly-added brand Oliver James Lilos.

Its next edit, ‘Al Fresco’ launches on June 19 and celebrates Italian craftsmanship and resort wear, with ‘Bohemian Spirit’ (10 July), ‘At the Bazaar’ (July 24), and ‘Pacific Dream’ (August 7) following suit.
