Dáil ‘racism row’ further evidence of immigration moving onto political agenda

There was a hush in the Dáil chamber once TDs figured out what Noel Grealish was saying.

Despite repeated calls on him to withdraw the remarks, he remained silent. He was on his feet in the Dáil yesterday for Leaders’ Questions, though, saying that €8 billion has been sent abroad over the last ten years to countries including Poland, Nigeria, Britain and France.
