Social media companies assure us there’s no way they could get you wrong. Are they right?
Instagram recently announced that the user feed was about to go algorithmic. According to its blog post on the change, most users are missing 70 per cent of their own feeds, which is, to me, like telling us we’re missing 70 per cent of what’s on Netflix because we sometimes (and in my case, it really is only sometimes) spend time looking at something other than our devices.
