Nuala Lawless collapsed after suffering a brain bleed in December 2005. She was brought to Tallaght Hospital, where she waited to be transferred to the neurosurgical centre at Beaumont Hospital.

Nuala waited days to access Beaumont, one of only two hospitals in Ireland where doctors can provide the emergency treatment needed to prevent another brain bleed.
